Swimming lessons for babies, toddlers, pre-school and school-aged children, open swims, pre-natal and adult-only sessions, and family swims... there's loads to pick from!

Eat @ PaddlePod (Shiremoor)

Our on-site cafe serves artisan coffee (from the fabulous Tynemouth Coffee Company) and a range of freshly-made produce. The perfect place to catch-up with friends.

Play @ PaddlePod (Shiremoor)

As well as a fun and exciting play area for the under fives, you'll find a calm and stimulating sensory room, baby & toddler socials, and a range of children's activity classes.

Frequently asked questions

You'll find swimming lessons for babies, toddlers, pre-school and school-aged children (stages 1-6) at PaddlePod (Shiremoor).

These lessons are delivered by Nemo Swimming (babies, toddlers and pre-school) and SwimNE (school-aged children and adults). Lessons can be booked via the swim schools' websites.

We have a number of pool-based sessions that you can book on a pay-as-you-go (PAYG) basis. We do advise booking these sessions in advance as we have limited spaces available in each.

The swimming pool at PaddlePod (Shiremoor) is 1.3m deep throughout.

You'll find Nemo Swimming and SwimNE lessons in the swimming pool.

In our activity room at PaddlePod (Shiremoor), you'll find classes from babyballet, Mini Athletics, Stretch & Soothe, and Lil Beatz.

Other classes are offered at our other venues also.

No, you can just drop-in! Our play areas are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm (please note that hours may vary during the school holidays).

Yes, you do need to book to use the sensory room. You can book spaces online or, if you want exclusive use of the room, send us an email.
